A Brief Biography

I’m David Norberg. I was born in Tacoma, grew up in University Place, and lived there until I graduated from High School in 1992. From there, I went to the University of Washington's main campus in Seattle and graduated in 1997 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Russian Language. In 1998, I married, moved to Bellingham, and began graduate school at Western Washington University. I finished my Master's Degree in history in 2001, moved back south, and began teaching in the fall of 2001. I now live in Tacoma and have two sons, ages nine and six. They keep us quite busy!

A few of my non-historical interests include: hiking, camping, bird-watching, geocaching, gardening, web development, and reading (mostly non-fiction). I am especially interested in amateur astronomy and spaceflight, and I'm currently the webmaster for the Tacoma Astronomical Society.

My personal astronomy-related website is at http://djnorberg.nventure.com/astro/wadarksky.htm
